LÒNIS BIO - LÒNIS is the multi-genre, writing/production duo of critically acclaimed recording artist, singer-songwriter, Jennifer Hanson, and veteran music producer, multi-instrumentalist, engineer and award-winning mixer, Nick Brophy. This Nashville-based, powerhouse team recently formed LÒNIS as a side project and creative outlet for the eclectic, alt/indie tunes they’ve been writing and producing for themselves and other artists. Both influenced by folk, rock, pop and electronic music, the two have been working with some of Nashville’s and L.A.’s most elite, creating a broad spectrum of hit-friendly songs that have caught the attention of music listeners everywhere. Known for their diverse production and genre-crossing writing abilities, a recent array of LÒNIS collaborations have included Hip-Hop artist, Daphne Willis, Americana/Folk artist, Michael Logen, Latin Grammy-winning artist, Gaby Moreno, Pop/Rock band, Boys Like Girls member, John Keefe, and award-winning Canadian, Electro/Pop duo, The Royal Foundry. Collectively, both Hanson and Brophy have worked with and written songs for some of the industry’s biggest names including Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Swift, The Rolling Stones, Michelle Branch, Gwyneth Paltrow, The Fray, Carly Simon, Natalie Merchant, Jimmy Fallon, Aloe Blacc, Steven Tyler, Natalie Imbruglia, Dan Tyminski, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Big & Rich, Jana Kramer, Kip Moore, Billy Currington, Vince Gill, Avril Lavigne, Everclear, Garbage and Hootie & the Blowfish.
Both originally from Southern California, the two met in Nashville while writing and producing Hanson’s second album Thankful for Universal South Records. Since then they have been longtime collaborators, garnering cuts together not only on Hanson’s albums, but most recently with country music superstars, Rascal Flatts, 3x ACM Entertainer of the Year, Jason Aldean, Australia’s hit sister trio and 2x ARIA award-winning group, The McClymonts, America’s Got Talent finalist and 3x Emmy award-winning trio, The Texas Tenors, along with production and writing credits for newcomers, CAA artist, Jeffrey East, and The Glee Project and ONErpm artist, Harper Grae, to name a few. Their songs have been heard on ABC, NBC, FOX, CW, CMT, VH1, MTV, PBS, Showtime, Freeform and in films and movie trailers for Sony Pictures, Columbia Pictures, Warner Bros. Pictures and Castle Rock Entertainment. Most recently, LÒNIS will have the title track in the new Disney film “Magic Camp”, due for release in 2019.
DAPHNE WILLIS BIO - Collaborating across multiple genres ranging from Roots-Rock and Pop to Hip Hop and Electronic Dance Music, classifying Daphne Willis in musical terms is no easy task. With infectious melodies delivered with lyrical precision and honesty, the songs and performances of Daphne Willis are sincere, compelling and relevant.
Raised in Chicago, Daphne now calls Nashville, TN home and cites influences as varied as Elvis Costello and Michael Jackson, but her musical output cleverly incorporates such inspirations into a style that is refreshing and contemporary in a way that suits her songs best.
With over 1,000 shows under her belt over the past several years, Daphne has been spreading her music to passionate fans across the United States. Her infectious personality combined with her incredible talent caught the eyes and ears of Sony/ATV Music Publishing in early 2016 who quickly signed Daphne to a worldwide publishing agreement. This partnership has resulted in several of her songs being recorded by other artists and used in Commercial, Film and TV productions such as One Tree Hill, Empire and a Microsoft Ad Campaign.
